Barrys
interest in food began at a very young age. Typical meals in his
childhood home were lovingly prepared by his mother, who was devoted
to feeding her family wholesome, interesting and tasty meals,
which often times were elaborately prepared.
Barrys professional career began in business administration
and management, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the
world, extensively. From Europe to Asia, Barry encountered numerous
cultures and cuisines until finally the food and hospitality industry
beckoned. Barry found a great opportunity to explore his interest
in food with the acquisition of Air Gourmet and launched GOURMET
CELEBRATIONS shortly after taking helm of the business.
Goal: To build a customer friendly one stop shop for all your
catering,
party and event needs. To have clients be a guest at their own
party. I like the idea of a boutique "shop." Upscale.
Interests include reading, sports and family. 1-Wife, 2-Children,
1-Dog.

Alan Entin
VP, Operations
Alan Entin has been with GOURMET CELEBRATIONS for five years. His passion for the food business actually got started while attending college. He had just returned from spending a semester abroad in Paris and needed to keep occupied before starting his junior year of school.
Bartending and serving food at a small Italian Bistro in Orange County whet the appetite for the restaurant and food business. In 1999, the move was made from the restaurant business into catering and event planning.
Alan enjoys traveling, art, trying new restaurants and attending sporting events. He is a big hockey fan and loves to eat Sushi. Favorite vacation spot is Maui, Hawaii. He was married there in the summer of 2002. It was an amazing day!
Alans goal is to continue to make GOURMET CELEBRATIONS grow into an even more amazing catering company. I cherish our long-term clients and welcome those new to our company. Bon Appétit!

Dwayne Lortie

Dwayne
Lortie is a self-taught, self-made success story who learned the
secrets of French cooking from his Grandmother some 25 years ago.
He had no idea at the time that the love for cooking his Grandmother
instilled in him would lead to a life-long career.
Born and raised in the world-renowned Venice Beach area, Dwayne
grew up on gorgeous weather and unforgettable sunsets in his backyard.
Dwaynes career started at the age of 16 when he served as
an apprentice butcher for Vic and Kens Meats where he subsequently
became manager of the fresh seafood department. From here Dwayne
moved on to work in the kitchen at a few local restaurants to
include Rebeccas and Janes Beach.
At 21 years of age fate knocked on Dwaynes door when a
friend introduced him to a start-up company, Air Gourmet, parent
to GOURMET CELEBRATIONS, where he has continued to work for twelve
years, eight of those years as Executive Chef.
